JUSTICE MALALA

POLITICAL COMMENTATOR AND JOURNALIST

JUSTICE MALALA is the founder of SesaMedia. He joined the Financial Mail in 1997 was awarded the Foreign Correspondents Association's Award for Outstanding Journalism later that year. He was appointed London correspondent of the Sunday Times in December 1999. He has contributed articles to a large number of South African publications ranging from Y Magazine, Enterprise, Sunday Independent, and Femina to various specialist publications. He has contributed to BBC Online and Deutsche Welle. Malala holds a BA in Politics and English from the University of South Africa and numerous journalism diplomas.

ANNABEL BISHOP

INVESTEC GROUP ECONOMIST

ANNABEL BISHOP is currently the Group Economist for Investec South Africa and joined Investec in 2001. She is responsible for the Group's SA economic view and has worked in the macroeconomic and econometric field for over 12 years. Annabel spent a couple of years at Econometrix as their Economic Analyst providing research services to a variety of clients representing different economic sectors as well as macroeconomics reports for the firm and contributing to the running of the econometric model.

She left McCarthy Bank in Natal 1998, where she held the position of SA economist. She has a cum laude master's degree in economics and econometrics from The University of Pietermaritzburg in South Africa.
AUBREY MATSHIQI

POLITICAL ANALYST

AUBREY MATSHIQI's services as an analyst are used by local and international media, government, political parties, policy institutes, academic institutions, foreign embassies and the corporate sector. He writes regularly for different publications (including a column in the Business Day).

He has also been involved in the UDF(as National Treasurer of the National Education Union of SA) the ANC, Umkhonto wesizwe, the student movement (AZASO), the civic movement, the union movement and the South African Communist Party.

CLEM SUNTER

WORLD-RENOWNED SCENARIO PLANNER

CLEM SUNTER is the author of 14 books some of which have been bestsellers. His other main interest is seeking to mobilise the private sector in the war against HIV/AIDS.

He was recently awarded an Honourary Doctorate by the University of Cape Town for his work in the field of scenario planning. He was also voted by leading South African CEOs as the speaker who has made the most significant contribution to, and impact on, best practice and business in South Africa. In 2006, he was invited to give a scenario presentation at the Central Party School in Beijing - a rare privilege for a foreigner.
