| FINANCIAL ANALYSIS USING EXCEL |
Both profit and non-profit organizations need to understand and work with finance. Our foundation course, Finance for non-financial Managers using Excel, provides an introduction to the world of applied finance. It will equip you to use finance to achieve your objectives and to relate meaningfully with stakeholders, as part of the managerial function. Because modern day decision-makers are driven by bottom-lines, sound financial literacy is key to relevance and survival in workplace.
Financial Analysis using Excel is a specialist, one-day module that builds on the foundational course to teach managers how to apply their knowledge through formal and informal analysis.
Formal analysis relates specifically to financial statements, where we will show you how to make a high level and detailed assessment of the financial health of a business, a department or a project.
Informal analysis will extend the principles into the basic disciplines of management. We will explore how to make relevant management decisions to build effective future business plans, using balance sheet, price and costing variables, and by integrating the drivers of profit into real-world applications and management games.
Please note: This course is structured around Microsoft Excel. Most of the activities are in Excel, including games, quizzes and practical case studies. The models we use are structured to maximize the fun of learning without bogging delegates down. However, the models will develop confidence in using Excel to format and present financial information to stakeholders.
