This workshop gives an easy-to-understand overview of the essential steps in preparing a case for the CCMA.

This workshop will assist you to prepare to defend a claim of unfair dismissal with confidence at the CCMA

Are your dismissals fair? Employers are regularly faced with the challenge of proving the fairness of a dismissal at the CCMA. This is in no way an easy task, especially given the law surrounding dismissals and expectations of the CCMA.

Easily understand the law surrounding dismissals

The aim of this workshop is to explain on easy-to-understand terms the law surrounding unfair dismissals and to also to provide clear guidelines on how to prepare for the CCMA.

Confidently prepare a comprehensive case

Special attention is given to how to practically prepare the employer's case in relation to witnesses, documentary evidence, cross–examination, opening and closing statements and the like.

Rean Fourie is an admitted advocate who specialises in the area of Labour Law. He lectured for a number of years in both Labour and Occupational Health and Safety Law before returning to practice as a legal advisor. As a part-time CCMA commissioner he presided over numerous labour disputes. He has presented various papers on Labour Law and developed and presented training material for the Department of Labour.

At present Rean acts as a labour consultant to various private and public institutions. In this capacity he regularly assists parties in the workplace.
