Phuti Malabie's recent awards include:

The Most Influential Women in Finance Services in South Africa; nominated for Outstanding Businesswoman of the Year in the African Business Awards. In 2008, she was the only African woman named by America’s Wall Street Journal as one of the top 50 women to watch in the world.

She was recently appointed to the board of Vodacom last year and is the Managing Director of Shanduka Energy (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary company to Shanduka Group led by Cyril Ramaphosa. Her academic qualifications are a BA Economics from Rutgers University (State University of New Jersey. USA) (1993) and an MBA from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK (1996). She completed the Kennedy School of Government Executive Education Programs” Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century”, at Harvard University in 2008.
