Communication Skills for Managers

This course is aimed at managers and supervisors who need to communicate with staff every day.

There are many, many different definitions of communication. Ask ten people to define communication and you will get ten different responses. There are however some fundamental principles of communication that will be present in any definitive definition, it is easier to define communication by describing the qualities of successful communication.

Miscommunication in the workplace leads to unnecessary conflict, loss of productivity and protracted office wars. By teaching managers how to communicate more efficiently, they will be able to get messages across in less time and with less chance of misunderstanding.

This workshop will also help them understand the communication style of their staff members better and spot the possibility of miscommunication before it happens.

Communication is the exchange and flow of information and ideas from one person to another. It involves a sender transmitting an idea to a receiver. Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the sender intended to transmit. By successfully getting your message across, you convey your thoughts and ideas effectively.
