Effective Teamwork

Most employees enter the workplace with little or no training on how to work well in a team or even in a group. At the same time, managers and team leaders must recognise and demonstrate specific behaviours that encourage and nurture teamwork of the members of their team and group.

Although few team leaders or managers walk into their roles with these skills fully developed, they can learn these skills by combining this training with workplace experience.

This workshop looks at the fundamental behaviours, skills and specific attitudes necessary for individuals to function effectively in a team environment, as well as how to foster effective teamwork.

Delegates receive a NBI Thinking Profile to determine your role and the role of others in teams. The NBI® General Adult instrument offers insight into the way you prefer to think, and increases your awareness of and sensitivity to, the thinking preferences of others. This will assist you in gaining a better understanding of why team members behave in certain ways, and how to make use of the diverse thinking styles and perspectives of each member for improved teamwork and performance.

You will be provided with tips for managing the team’s collective brainpower and harnessing the strengths of each member. The impact of differences and similarities among team members will also be discussed, as well as how to use the Whole Brain Team Model to facilitate teamwork and guide the team’s actions and projects.

Understanding your thinking profile will also enable you to develop better relationships, make more dynamic contributions in a team context, and make sound and relevant decisions.

This workshop will empower you on your journey of facilitating effective teams.
