State of the Nation

Business Breakfast Seminar

[DEAR]

  • Where is the South African economy heading?
  • Is this another high road/low road moment?
  • Will the local government elections happen and will they make a difference?
  • Is the New South African experiment over ?

South Africa changed forever when President Zuma decided to play fast and loose with the Finance Ministry. With the risk of a ratings downgrade growing, and the local government elections looming the country’s future has never been as uncertain as it has been in 2016.

Managing business and investing in the future has become increasingly difficult. South Africans are poorer against other currencies and interest rates have risen despite our lack of economic growth. How do you make decisions in these circumstances?

In the modern world, the most valuable commodity that you can possess is knowledge. Make the smart business decision to share this knowledge with your management team, clients and stakeholders.

Join internationally renowned scenario planner Clem Sunter, political analyst and television host Justice Malala and Emerging Market specialist Dr Martyn Davies as they share their insights into the State of the Nation. These valuable business breakfast insights will be expertly hosted by award winning radio journalist, Stephen Grootes.

DR MARTYN DAVIES JOINS THE PANEL!

Emerging market and African specialist Dr Martyn Davies will provide a valuable insight into the road that South Africa has chosen. His experience of working in the rest of Africa as well as in Asia, gives Dr Davies a unique insight as to where we are and where we are heading.

Nkandla, SONA. Zuma's power wanes. What next? - By Stephen Grootes
The position of President Jacob Zuma and the political situation around him is now moving very quickly. From a position where just a few months ago he ruled the roost with almost no opposition, suddenly his position has become much weaker. We are now in the “leaking season” of his Presidency, that moment where no one has yet said they’ll run for the ANC leadership, but when people are preparing the ground.
